New artistic director chosen for Shaw Festival

A new artistic director has been appointed for Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Shaw Festival. Tim Carroll will officially take over on December 1st, after Jackie Maxwell’s departure. Carroll has 25 years of experience in theatre, beginning his career with the English Shakespeare Company in 1990. He has also directed a number of acclaimed productions including the “Prodigical Son” and “Twelfth Night.”He is best known in Ontario for his productions of “Peter Pan” and “Romeo and Juliet” at the Stratford Festival.
